The director general of health announced Sunday a total of 12,069 deaths recorded in hospitals 7,649 in nursing homes (Ehpad) and other medico-social establishments.
The number of patients hospitalized for Covid-19 infection amounted to 30,610 on Sunday, with a slight drop in balance of 29. Among these, 5,744 patients in serious condition were hospitalized in intensive care, 89 fewer compared to Friday.
These figures reflect the continuation of a "very slow epidemic recession, but the number of people hospitalized remains very high," said Jérôme Salomon. "The containment, thanks to your efforts to all, is effective, it strongly curbs the epidemic," he said, calling on not to relax these efforts.
