The movement that is inspired by Greta Thunberg, #FridaysforFuture, returns to strike tomorrow, but in a virtual way not being able to physically go down the streets as a result of the pandemic. But they will still do so even if digitally in front of Palazzo Chigi through a geolocation tool that will be on the website returnalfuturo.org.
For this occasion, the young people of the Italian movement have launched an appeal letter addressed to Italy, already signed by about seven thousand people including dozens of university teachers and climate researchers, to remind everyone that when this health emergency has passed, we will have to decision to face the other global emergency, the climatic one. According to young people "the solution already exists: the ecological transition will be the heart and brain of this rebirth", "a revolution of our entire system", without returning to the past but looking ahead preparing "our Back to the Future". The way forward is "to kick off a colossal, historic, sustainable public investment plan that will bring well-being and work for all and that will finally give us a Future to return to, after the journey into the darkness of this pandemic". And as reiterated several times by Greta "it is science that clearly indicates the route to be taken to defeat the climate crisis".
"Dear Italy - the young people write - you are facing a crossroads in your history, and there must be no short-sighted budgetary constraints or unfair austerity policies that prevent you from making this change. Dear Italy, you can be an example.
You can guide Europe and the world on the path of ecological conversion ".

In the future that young people think "we will produce all our energy from renewable sources", "by converting polluting companies and reclaiming our devastated territories we will be able to save the more than 80,000 people killed each year by air pollution, with efficient public transport, with a great national plan we will renovate public and private buildings, reducing emissions and bills ".
By revaluing various sectors, "we will create hundreds of thousands of new, well-paid jobs". Tomorrow's is announced as "the biggest virtual strike ever" despite the quarantine that "cannot stop the desire of thousands of girls and boys all over the world to defend their future: we want climate justice now", explain the boys who on the Italian website also explain how to participate: posting a photo of the digital strike, geolocating themselves at Palazzo Chigi, following the live broadcast with scientists, actors and singers, participating in the events of the Fff (Fridays for future) group of their city (115 those participating in Italy). 161 countries worldwide participate in the global strike with a single message: "climate justice".
