(ANSA) - MILAN, MAY 21 - The Covid-19 pandemic has hit all the financial indicators of the 25 industrial and service companies listed on the Borsa Italiana Ftse Mib. This is what emerges from an analysis of the Mediobanca Research Area. At the end of March 2020, the 25 companies represented 76% of the total capitalization (banks and insurance companies are excluded), for a total stock exchange value of 288 billion.
In the first quarter of 2020 their capitalization decreased by -22.4%, with a loss of 83 billion.
The 25 listed companies analyzed lost a total of almost 14 billion euro (-13.7%). Among the sectors, services recorded the lowest drop (-8.8%), followed by energy / utilities (-10.5%), while oil with Eni (-25.2%) and manufacturing (-11.8 %) report the greatest loss of turnover.
Manufacturing reported a drop in turnover in the first quarter of 2020 (-11.8%) is the worst of the last 30 years and the only one in double figures. (HANDLE).
