(ANSA) - BARI, JULY 16 - As part of an investigation into the fraud at the National and Regional Health Service, coordinated by the Prosecutor of the Republic of Bari, in different regions, iNas today carried out 44 searches against holders of pharmaceutical companies, scientific informants delfarmaco, pharmacies, medical specialists and general practitioners.
In addition, 17 exhibition orders of documentation were made to as many pharmaceutical companies.
According to investigators, the total value of the turnover of scams is around 20 million euros, while the tax damage to the National Health Service is still being quantified.
The measures concerned the provinces of Bari, Brindisi, Bat, Foggia, Naples, Rome, Avellino, Salerno, Milan, Imperia, Turin, Ancona, Potenza and Catania.
