India: plane off the runway in Kerala, 2 dead

(ANSA) - NEW DELHI, AUG 07 - An Air India plane coming from Dubai has gone off the runway, probably due to heavy rains, at Zozhikode airport, in Kerala, in India. According to the media on board 191 people were traveling: at least two would have died while 40 would have been injured, the same local sources report. Among the victims also the pilot. The aircraft broke into two sections. He was not a scheduled flight but he was repatriating the Indians blocked abroad by the coronavirus pandemic. International and Indian flights were stopped until August 31st. (HANDLE).
