"The Umbrella Academy" on Netflix: The Season 2 Finale Explained
In the grand finale of the second season of "The Umbrella Academy" , Five (Aidan Gallagher) manages to save the lives of several victims of the director (Kate Walsh) thanks to his ability to travel back in time . In the end, only the antagonist dies, whereupon the siblings go back to 2019.
Before that, another sequence shows that Harlan (Justin Paul Kelly) obviously still has skills from Vanya (Ellen Page) . So it can be assumed that the siblings will meet him again in season 3. Whether he faces them as an enemy or a friend remains to be seen.
Back in 2019, the protagonists realize that they were finally able to prevent the apocalypse. But completely new problems beckon : Sir Hargreeves (Colm Feore) and Ben (Justin H. Min) are still alive in 2019. At the same time, the former speaks of a "Sparrow Academy" , which is located in the house of the Umbrella Academy.
What is the Sparrow Academy all about? If you've asked yourself this question, you don't have to worry about missing anything: The answer will probably only be available in season 3. And this could get a lot more complicated, because apparently the siblings have created a kind of parallel world or a different future through their time travel . In order to clear up the whole mess, the protagonists will have to come up with a new plan. By the way, Lila (Ritu Arya) could come to their aid. Since she also has special abilities, she seems to have been born on the same day as Five, Vanya & Co.
