He was believed to be immortal like James Bond but Sean Connery has just died at the age of 90.
It was his family who announced his disappearance to the BBC.
During his immense career, he had notably taken on the role of 007 7 times, between 1962 ("James Bond 007 against Dr No" and 1984 ("Never again)".
The embodiment of class and British phlegm, Sean Connery had played with the greats, from Alfred Hitchcock in "No Spring for Marnie" to Steven Spielberg ("Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade").
He was also a great Guillaume de Baskerville in "The Name of the Rose", directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud based on the novel by Umberto Eco.
