Italy suspends flights with the United Kingdom following the alarm for the new coronavirus variant found in the country.
This was announced by Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio.
"The United Kingdom has sounded the alarm about a new form of Covid that would be the result of a mutation of the virus. As a Government we have a duty to protect Italians, for this reason, after having notified the British Government, with the Minister of Health we are about to sign the measure to suspend flights with Great Britain. Our priority is to protect Italy and our compatriots ".
