Business Department, Economy Department, and now also the "Mask Refuser" Department.

At least this is expected to happen with Aeroflot, Russia's national airline, which routinely flies to Israel as well.

According to reports, the company will allocate a special area in its aircraft, designed for passengers who will not wear masks on their faces.

The Fox News website reported that last week the Russian airline announced that it would not allow passengers to board its planes without face masks.

"Passengers must wear the mask in such a way that their mouths and noses are not fully covered," the company said in a statement.

Passengers will have to stay with the masks on at all times of the flight, except for short breaks while eating.

It was also reported that during the coming period, the company will not allow passengers who are exempt from masks for medical and other reasons, to fly on its planes.

Move to sit at the end of the plane

However - and here comes the "twist" in the plot - the day after the statement, company spokeswoman Yulia Spivkova announced that a dedicated seating area will be allocated on Aeroflot planes, which anyone who refuses to wear the mask during the flight.

For her, this is an optimal solution, since the flight is already in progress and there is no other effective way to deal with such situations.

"These seats will be allocated to those who decided to remove the mask after the plane's doors were locked," Spivkova told the Moscow Times.

She also stressed that despite all this, the company is committed to taking action against passengers who refuse to comply with flight health and safety guidelines.

According to the Russian newspaper, the seats for the quota refusers will be located in the last two rows on the right side of the economy class.

In the published news, it was not stated what sanctions will be imposed on the refusing passengers after the plane arrives at the destination.

To date, 2.7 million cases of Corona virus infection and 48,568 deaths have been reported in Russia.
