Author for Louane, Jenifer or Johnny Hallyday, the artist files a complaint for slanderous denunciation. He explains himself for the first time,

He hadn't spoken yet.

This time, Yohann Malory explains and retaliates.

At 35, the one who is one of the favorite lyricists of the French variety, author of songs for Louane, Jenifer, M. Pokora or Johnny Hallyday finds himself in turmoil.

As we revealed last November, the artist is the subject of a preliminary investigation for sexual assault after four complaints from young women against him.

"In view of the many corroborating testimonies on the actions of the accused, we expect justice to quickly draw the consequences", insist Yassine Bouzrou and Lydia Djebaili, who defend the victims.

For his part, Yohann Malory, defended by one of the tenors of the bar, Antoine Vey, counter-attacks and in turn lodges a complaint for slanderous denunciation.

He has not yet been heard by the police and is speaking for the first time.

Why did you file a complaint against X for slanderous denunciation?

YOHANN MALORY

.

I suffer immense harm even though I am innocent.

My name has been smeared.

These girls use the MusicToo movement

(Editor's note: which collects the testimonies of women harassed or sexually assaulted in the world of music)

to settle their scores with me.

Let things be clear: I am for the liberation of the voice of women, I have written a lot of songs for women.

I respect this movement, but on condition that it does not carry out investigations for the police and respect the presumption of innocence.

The charges are serious: a young woman claims to have been sexually assaulted after being drugged ...

These are false accusations, lies.

There was never the slightest sexual assault on this young woman as on others.

In this case my only mistake, and I assume it, is to have poured MDMA

(Editor's note: the equivalent of ecstasy)

in the glass of a young woman without her knowing.

It was October 26, 2019, I was celebrating the end of the shooting of my last clip in a Parisian nightclub, I had consumed drugs and I put some in the glasses of several of my friends, girls and boys.

The others knew, but not her because she had grafted onto the evening.

In the hours that followed, as she felt bad, I took her home by Uber.

I stayed in the taxi.

At no time were there inappropriate words and gestures or did I try to kiss her.

I then exchanged text messages with her overnight which showed that she was well aware and that there was no incident.

The next day, I checked in.

In the days that followed, she informed me that she had gone to the hospital for blood tests, that the presence of drugs had been detected and that she had filed a complaint.

But there was never any question of sexual assault.

"I am the victim of an injustice", assures Yohann Malory./LP/Frédéric Dugit

When did you tell him about the drugs in the glass?

Five days later, we saw each other with his sister.

This is where I told them.

But again, no one spoke of any sexual assault.

At the end of November 2019, I learned that there had been a search of the nightclub and that a videotape had been seized.

I wrote to the Paris public prosecutor to admit my mistake and asked to be questioned.

She says you offered her money to shut up ...

It's wrong.

She explained to me that because of the drug use, she had lost a day of work.

I just offered to compensate her for this lost day.

And for the other alleged victims, what about?

I don't know, I haven't necessarily identified them all and I haven't been questioned by the police yet.

But I kept all the text messages that I exchanged with my romantic relationships.

What I understand is that they are interrelated.

The sister of the first complainant sent a message to artist Lola Le Lann, with whom I worked, informing her that several women were fighting a battle against me.

A week later, on October 6, Lola Le Lann announced on Instagram that after receiving a message implicating one of the authors of her songs, she was not releasing her album.

It is an artifice.

In reality, the producers no longer intended to release her album physically, on CD

(Editor's note: according to our information, the singer had accepted that her album would only be released on streaming platforms)

.

But the press relayed the message of Lola Le Lann specifying that one of its authors would be suspected of sexual assault.

Then my name came out.

How do you live this business?

Very badly because I am the victim of an injustice.

While everything was going very well for me, I had to put all my plans on hold in order to concentrate on my defense.

I am accused of four assaults, even for my relatives it is very hard.

It is completely beyond me.

I had a lot of girlfriends, sometimes relationships didn't always end well, but I never assaulted any girl.

What are you waiting for?

Let the truth come out, let me explain myself, let my name be rehabilitated.
