“Embarrassment of choice” for Alexandra Lamy or “D-Day” for Reem Kherici, two romantic comedies on this evening of Valentine's Day, a

ROMANTIC COMEDY.

Between the two, his heart swings

At 9:05 pm, on France 2.

In all situations of life, including the most innocuous, Juliette (Alexandra Lamy) is very embarrassed.

She doesn't know how to choose.

This is to say if his dilemma is at the top when his bachelor path crosses that of Paul, a Scotsman who works in the bank, and Etienne, best worker in France in gastronomy.

Better, and especially worse, both ask for her in marriage… The tile for a personality like his.

How to do ?

Choose one or the other?

Or none?

Here is a pretty comedy imagined by Eric Lavaine to whom we owe the excellent "Incognito", three years later with Franck Dubosc and the singer Bénabar.

This time, to tease the female audience, he puts two more handsome guys in the credits: the popular Arnaud Ducret and the unknown Jamie Bamber.

But beyond these appearances, we love this mischievous scenario which gives Alexandra Lamy a deserved first role and her bridesmaids, a charming range of nuances to defend.

There is first Sabrina Ouazani who then began to make his way over the supporting roles before triumphing in "Taxi 5" in 2018. But also the irresistible Anne Marivin, discovered in "Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis" in 2008 and who plays here one of Juliette's two best friends.

Dany Boon had appealed to her again to give him the answer in his 2017 hit “Crazy Raid”.

He had known how to choose.

Unlike the heroine of the Sunday night comedy.

EDITOR'S RATING: 4/5

“The Embarrassment of Choice”,

THRILLER.

Doom Legacy

At 9:05 pm, on NRJ 12.

Young prosecutor in New York in full rise, Lauren Monroe learns of the sudden death of her father while she is in the middle of a press conference.

In his will, he bequeathed his millions of dollars to his son William, in the middle of the political campaign.

Lauren, she receives in all confidentiality a USB key with a video message from her father telling her that a terrible secret, of which she is now the keeper, awaits her in a bunker buried in the family property.

There, she discovers a chained man, who claims to be sequestered here for thirty years.

The starting point of "Bloodline: the price of blood" is quite implausible, if not totally grotesque.

But the result is more or less, plunging the heroine into an unmanageable moral doubt for this woman attached to the values of justice.

Lily Collins, her interpreter, is doing well in this dramatic role, very far from the one she holds in the Netflix bluette "Emily In Paris".

Facing her, Simon Pegg, who lends his features to the imprisoned man, is excellent.

Three-way marriage

“D-Day”: for Juliette, Mathias, Ben and Clarisse, it all started during a fancy dress party that was a little too drunk.

Gaumont

At 10:40 pm, on France 2.

It is not just the Anglo-Saxons who know how to make good romantic comedies.

“D-Day” begins during a very drunken fancy dress party, at the end of which Juliette, played by Reem Kherici, ends up in the arms of Mathias, played by Nicolas Duvauchelle.

Following a misunderstanding, these two meet again soon after: Juliette, who is a wedding planner, must orchestrate the wedding of… Mathias.

Without wanting to, the latter finds himself in the middle of his future wife and his mistress for a night.

Very removed, "D-Day" connects unlikely situations with a spicy humor, sometimes even trash.

Very tasty supporting roles revolve around an endearing love trio: Sylvie Testud as a slightly bitter partner, François-Xavier Demaison as a good geek buddy or Chantal Lauby as a mother totally in the West.

Original, sparkling and really moving.

EDITOR'S RATING: 4/5

COMEDY.

Hello mom, you're sore

Isabelle Nanty and Pierre-François Martin-Laval play Clara and Harold, parents who are very, very involved… UGC DISTRIBUTION

At 9:05 p.m. on TF1.

Clara, a doctor, and Harold, a publicist, have two children: Vincent, overwhelmed with grief since his girlfriend, Elina, left him, and Eloise, less inclined to show her feelings.

Focused on their offspring, his parents suffocate Vincent with their attempts at consolation by trying to make him hate Elina.

There are good moments in this comedy, including a wacky food fight sequence.

Casually, this film which changes axis in the middle speaks quite well of the cliché bobo family.

And Isabelle Nanty recalls that she has an irresistible comic potential.

EDITOR'S RATING: 3/5
