(ANSA) - VENICE, 20 FEB - Abrupt return to a high number of daily infections in Veneto, which records 1,244 cases of Covid positive in 24 hours. It hadn't happened for several weeks. The Region's report also reports 18 more victims than yesterday, confirming a trend in deaths that continues to decline. The total number of infected people since the beginning of the epidemic thus rises to 325,789, that of the dead to 9,701.
The figure for hospital admissions also falls: 1,211 Covid patients are now found in the normal medical wards (-30); finally, the number of patients in intensive care remained stable, 133.
