The race to change the sugar of "Domotok" (Niv Aharonson)

You'll have to believe us when we say it's not an easy job, not an easy one at all.

To experience all the new products that come out of the Israeli market (and sometimes even outside it), to taste before everyone else, deliveries and more deliveries, paper bags that accumulate in the office (and at home), a constant feeling of satiety.

Seriously, it's harder than it looks, and no one pays you for the gym, or compensates you for the rapidly evolving sense of FOMO in the mind.

Yes, we are very eclectic.

Mascarpone-cracker-hyssop ice cream, Golda

Golda mascarpone-cracker-hyssop ice cream (Photo: my social)

The new flavor of the rapidly expanding empire is going a bit provocative, and in stark contrast to traditional Israeli preferences.

This is mascarpone ice cream with the addition of a cracker and a bit of hyssop, which we approached hesitantly, remembering all sorts of past combinations that worked less in other ice cream parlors.

Well, surprise.

Not only does it work, it's even very successful, with no asterisks and no small print.

The mascarpone base is rich and sweet, the hyssop is very noticeable but not overpowering as it tends to do, and only the crackers felt a bit less in relation to what we wanted, to complete the crunch.

And this is what Sharon Tarkinski had to say about it:

Chocolate capsules, Elite coffee and Splendid

Chocolate capsules of Elite Coffee and Splendid (Photo: Elite Coffee and Splendid)

And from the outside - for the home: Elite Coffee and Splendid Chocolate are launching a limited edition sweet capsule, for making a thick chocolate drink.

The capsules, which contain Dutch cocoa but not caffeine, are suitable for use in home machines, but are slightly damaged - and not their fault - by their sediment (a machine that routinely delivers coffee usually has a hard time making such a switch, whether because of water or aroma).

The drink itself is successful, sweet and wintry, a little thicker than we are used to in capsules, but not really thick-chocolate, and fortified by us with a little warm milk.

A treat, no?

Soy drink with protein, Tnuva

And from home - stressed again: Tnuva launches an on-the-go milk-free drink with 20 grams of protein, prepared mainly for athletes who do not consume milk.

The personal bottle - 250 ml - enters a relatively popular niche, and joins similar delicacies of the company. The drink itself is delicious, heavy as expected and thick to a good extent. It provides a decent dose of coffee, and can be a successful substitute for the target audience.

MCT oil, keto-oil

Keto-Oil MCT Oil (Photo: Keto-Oil)

KETOIL joins the booming MCT oil market with a refined plant product extracted from the core of palm nuts and coconut.

As befits its members in the category, the oil is confusing at first - clear and completely transparent - but performs its main tasks wonderfully.

That is, cooking, frying and baking.

He helped us prepare onions for dinner, worked nicely (and even more than that) also as a base for frying eggplant and generally did not provide any hints of any change from the regular kitchen oil we were all used to working with.

Kosher natural corn snacks for Passover, barn

Kosher Passover Corn Snacks for Osem (Photo: Osem Studio)

Tevol welcomes the holiday with a kosher version of its popular corn snacks.

The snacks, which contain 56% corn and are coated in matzah flour, are an absolutely worthy alternative for those who devour the genre.

Tasting children who were served the dish even before the holiday really did not notice the difference, and adults also nibbled, although asked for a little more crunch next time.

Cosmo and Mojito, Schweppes

Schweppes Cosmo and Mojito (Photo: Schweppes)

The veteran brand is preparing for the union of the girls "Sex and the City", and is launching a new drink inspired by the cocktail associated with the series - pink cosmo with a lime and cranberry flavor.

The playful energy continues with a recommendation to mix the carbonated drink with vodka, coming to the cocktail that every Manhattan tourist has ordered during the heyday of Carrie Bradshaw ,.

We tried both ways, were happy to discover a relatively subtle sweetness and fun bubbly, and preferred the alcoholic (of course).

Another flavor - mojito, which is actually lime-mint - matched Schweppes' recommendation for rum, on the way to some tropical drink, but held less passon.

Charoset of natural ingredients, Yad Mordechai

Charoset of Yad Mordechai (Photo: Yad Mordechai)

Yad Mordechai is expanding its product range and launching a limited edition of charoset.

The popular traditional spread is made from only natural ingredients and contains, among other things, dates, grape must, nuts and a little clove and cinnamon.

The texture is great, the taste is sweet but not too sweet, the seasoning adds a little depth and the overall feel is successful.

Absolutely the favorite of the Seder bowl.

Kosher products for Passover, Nestle Barn

The Nestle Barn Company strengthens the meticulous with square rice noodles, cooking sauces and corn tortillas - all kosher for Passover.

The move includes a thick and sweet teriyaki sauce, for example, that lovingly received some soy and some garlic and flowed on, delicious rice noodles that were cooked and rolled inside themselves and also a corn-based baked tortilla snack.

The latter, with only seven calories per unit, was happily eliminated regardless of the holiday.

Rice Leaves, Master Chef

Master Chef's Rice Leaves (Photo: Nimrod Saunders)

Culinary brand Master Chef launches rice leaves from Vietnam in resealable packaging.

The pages come in two sizes - 22 cm in diameter and 16 cm in diameter - and in a package that solves one of the familiar problems in the category.

That is, outdated packaging that has not taken into account the meteoric rise of the product in recent years.

The taste is more or less similar to average, and the leaves served us faithfully on the way to the same "borax" that went viral in the days of the Corona.

The packaging line is not dramatic, but sometimes life is a series of small improvements.

Wonder Egg, Organiczon

Organiczon's Wonder Egg (Photo: Organiczon)

The Organiczon company is launching the "Wonder Egg", which is designed to extend the life of fruits and vegetables in the refrigerator.

The case comes with two "eggs" - one for each drawer in the refrigerator - whose job is to absorb the ethylene gas emitted from the fruits and vegetables, accumulates, and eventually causes decay.

Each egg has a bag containing an active ingredient that will suffice for three months of work, and can then fertilize pots.

We were quick to respond to the challenge, and promise to report on developments.
