(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 03 - Holland has temporarily suspended the use of the AstraZenca vaccine for all ages to avoid a waste of doses: this was reported by the national newspaper De Telegraaf.
The decision comes in the aftermath of the announcement to suspend the use of the serum for the under 60s after new reports of serious side effects.
Among the over 60s, who were the only ones who could be vaccinated with Anglo-Swedish serum as of yesterday, only 700 people remained to be immunized, the newspaper continues, explaining that the suspension of appointments for them too is linked to the need to avoid wasting the drug that would be left in the vials.
