Covid: France, intensive care is still on the rise

(ANSA) - PARIS, AUGUST 07 - The number of intensive care hospitalizations in France continues to increase: today more than 1,500 have been registered, compared to less than 1,000 ten days ago, according to data published by public health. With 136 new hospitalizations in 24 hours, intensive care has welcomed 1,510 people today compared to 1,458 yesterday and 1,099 a week ago.


    The number of hospital admissions rose to 8,425, also on the rise. On the other hand, the number of deaths decreased: 32 compared to 60 on Friday. On the front of the new infections, the health authorities report 25,755 in 24 hours, a stable data in the last week. The positivity rate is 4.2%.


    As for vaccination, 66.2% of the population received the first dose, 55.1% the complete cycle. (HANDLE).
