A large manufacturer of organic almonds has had to recall one of its products.
The company warns against mold toxin it contains.
Hamburg - Bode Naturkost has to recall its product "Organic Milled Almonds".
The recall of the company based in Hamburg refers to batch BN43290.0 with the best before date (BBD) May 14th, 2022.
The 100 gram packs are affected.
In an unscheduled examination of the product, mold toxins were found.
These are considered carcinogenic and can cause liver damage.
A health risk for the consumer cannot be ruled out.
Therefore "customers should pay attention to the recall and not consume the affected product".

Bode Naturkost reacted immediately and withdrew the “organic milled almond” from the sale.
Customers can return the product in question to the store.
The purchase price will be refunded, even without presenting a receipt.
The company "apologizes to all concerned for the inconvenience caused."
