This will kick off an exceptional auction, hosted by Christie's at the Automobile Club de France, in Paris, where 16 lots offered by the Patrouille de France will be scattered, including jackets and helmets, for the benefit of association. Then the planes will continue their route and will fly over the Gustave-Roussy Institute, in Villejuif (94), in order to show the support of the "PAF" to sick children and caregivers in this international month of children's cancer "Golden September" . “
Cancer is the leading cause of death from disease in children. Each year in France, 2,500 children and adolescents are diagnosed with cancer, and 500 die from it, for lack of appropriate treatments
, ”recalls Patricia Blanc, president of the association, and mother of Margo, who died of a brain tumor in the age of 14.
Objective: 1.5 million euros
Since its creation in 2011, the association has raised more than 12 million euros for research, allowing more than 3,000 children to benefit from innovative and personalized treatments.
After the Covid crisis, which has pushed other pathologies into the background, the goal is to collect at least 1.5 million euros this year through the 200 or so events it organizes.
