INFO LE PARISIEN. The Elysée asked the star host for a 20-minute montage of scenes from the actor's filmography

Show the diversity of roles played by Jean-Paul Belmondo, since his beginnings in the 1950s. According to our information, this is the instruction that Thierry Ardisson received from the Élysée, the evening of the death of the sacred monster of cinema, as part of the national tribute that will be paid to him.

A mission that the star host has accepted.

It is therefore up to him to produce a “best of” of around twenty very rhythmic minutes, bringing together the most striking scenes of Bébel.

For that, he shortlisted twenty-five cult films, ranging from “l'As des aces”, in which Belmondo plays Jo Cavalier, an airplane pilot, to “Léon Morin, priest”, where he plays a priest, in passing through his mastery of water skiing in "Le Magnifique".

Giant screens installed on the esplanade

Following the eulogy delivered by Emmanuel Macron, this document, produced by 3eme Œil (which manufactures “C à vous”), will be screened Thursday afternoon in the courtyard of the Invalides in front of the family of Jean-Paul Belmondo and his relatives, as well as representatives of the world of culture and sport, members of the government, but also a thousand people.

The latter will have benefited from places offered to the general public in the courtyard, without reservation, but with a health pass required.

Giant screens installed on the Esplanade des Invalides will also allow the public who have stayed outside to discover these images, which are being edited.

Jean-Paul Belmondo, the stunt actor in 5 cult films

Thierry Ardisson shot, last April for France 3, "L'Hôtel du Temps", a new concept where he interviews a deceased personality thanks to the "Face retriever", a technique used for the film "Fifth Set", with Alex Lutz and even more extensive than that of “deepfake”, popularized by “C'est Canteloup” on TF1.

For the first, Thierry Ardisson brought back to life Jean Gabin, a legendary actor who died in 1976. Perhaps a future issue will be devoted to Jean-Paul Belmondo?
