The Senate authorized, Tuesday, November 2, the creation of a commission of inquiry on the concentration of the media in France, requested by the socialist, republican and environmental group (SRE).
At the initiative of PS Senators David Assouline, Sylvie Robert and Patrick Kranner, the purpose of this commission will be
"to highlight the conditions of purchase and grouping which have resulted in this highly concentrated press and audiovisual landscape. "

It will be created on November 18 for a period of six months and will have 21 members from various committees such as that of cultural affairs and economic affairs.
