GENOA - Gatherings, parties, parades, a special train and a traveling exhibition celebrate the return to the cinema of "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone", the first film in the saga of the beloved wizard, created by writer Joanne Kathleen Rowling. Released in theaters on November 16 20 years ago, it created a worldwide blockbuster and popular culture phenomenon. On the occasion of the anniversary, the film will be broadcast on TV on November 16 and screened in cinemas from December 9 to 12. It will be an opportunity to relive the magic of a story that has thrilled audiences all over the world and which still amazes generations of new fans today. In recent weeks the celebrations in his honor have multiplied: from the gatherings of theCaput Draconis association of Genoa at the commemorative day in the Rocca of Lonato del Garda and at the costume parade of Lucca Comics & Games.

    At the same time special editions of home videos and board games were released; clothes, accessories and many merchandising initiatives have been created, all dedicated to the beloved wizard. However, there is no shortage of controversy, especially from the LGBT community who contested the writer JK Rowling for her ideas. Meanwhile, fans are organizing to pay tribute to Harry Potter while waiting for the exhibition that will go around the world next year. "Harry Potter: The Exhibition" will be a traveling exhibition that will tell the famous and most iconic moments of the story of the wizard with evocative and immersive settings, props from the films and original costumes of the protagonists. Among the many initiatives, those organized in Genoa by Avventure Cittadine stand out, dedicated to children with fun tours,and that of 6 and 7 November, when the Hogwarts Express will depart from the Genoa station, a very special train entirely dedicated to the first chapter of the saga. The convoy crosses autumnal landscapes for 24 kilometers on the historic Genoa-Casella route, a narrow-gauge railway line that connects the capital with the village of the upper Scrivia Valley. On board the train, games, spells and skill tests are organized and the same settings are relived as the convoy used in the film to take the students to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.a narrow-gauge railway line that connects the capital with the village of the upper Scrivia Valley.     The real Hogwarts Express is, in reality, the Jacobite steam train, a tourist train pulled by a steam locomotive that travels 60 kilometers in Scotland, where the writer has set much of the Harry Potter novels and scripts. The train departs Fort William and reaches Mallaig, northwest of Edinburgh, and popular stops for wizard fans include the village of Glenfinnan and the famous stone arched overhead viaduct.

    To retrace the amazing adventures of Harry Potter, itineraries, tours and theme parks have been created that lead us to the discovery of those places that have become a cult and that every "Muggle" should visit: the Hogwarts School of Magic, platform 9ó, the houses and streets of gloomy London. All novels and films are set in London with the very central Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Blackfriars Bridge, Millennium Bridge, Zoo, Leadenhall Victorian covered market and Borough Market. Among the most famous scenes of the series is that of the trolley crossing the wall and carrying the protagonists Harry, Ron and Hermione to platform 9 and ó in Hogsmeade station. The platform really exists and is located with the trolley half in and half out of the wall at King's station.s Cross of the capital. The magic bank, which houses the philosopher's stone in the saga, is the headquarters of the Australian High Commission in London, with its majestic external facade. 12 Grimmauld Place is the address of the ghostly house of the Order of the Phoenix: it can be found among the terraced houses of Claremont Square, in the Islington district, north of London. At 12 Picket Post Close in the Martin Heron suburb, however, the house where Harry spent his early childhood with his uncles was set. Also in London you can visit the zoo with the reptile house to relive the scene of Harry who makes the separation glass between visitors and reptiles disappear.12 Grimmauld Place is the address of the ghostly house of the Order of the Phoenix: it can be found among the terraced houses of Claremont Square, in the Islington district, north of London.     In Alnwick, in the Northumberland region, two hours by car from Edinburgh and four by train from London, you can visit the evocative uninhabited castle which was the filming location of the first two Harry Potter films, "The Philosopher's Stone" and "The Chamber of Secrets". This is where Madam Hound teaches novices to fly on a broom and this is where Harry learns the rules of Quidditch from Oliver Wood. The Hogwarts school is actually the Christ Church University of Oxford, where some scenes were shot, namely in the hall, in the cathedral, in the cloister and in the courtyard. The medieval Lacock Abbey, a picturesque village 2.5 hours from London, was used to represent some of the interiors of Hogwarts. The green hills surrounding Black Lake, the lake of Hogwarts, where Harry Potter rides thehippogriff, are actually found on the shores of Loch Shiel in the Scottish Highlands. Not far away, on the island of Eilean na Moine, is Dumbledore's grave and the place where Voldemort steals Potter's elder wand.

    Also in Scotland, in front of Edinburgh Castle, you can pay homage to the wizard and his creator at 21 George IV Bridge, home of the pub "The Elephant House". Here Rowling often sat at the tables at the back of the place, overlooking the haunting Greyfriars cemetery; there in 1997 he finished writing the first Harry Potter book.

    A true tribute to Potter can only end up in the Warner Bros studios in Leavesden, a suburb near Watford, outside London, where "The Making of Harry Potter" park (wbstudiotour.co.uk) was created and hosts all the sets. originals used in the films and a reproduction of the famous Hogwarts castle.

Among the events organized to celebrate the 20th anniversary there is a special vision on the film and on the scenographic secrets from 19 to 22 November;

a dinner in the Great Hall, like that of the students of Hogwarts, from 13 to 15 December, and visits under the snow in the forest and castle, from 12 November to 16 January 2022. (ANSA).
