(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 17 - Last day of school in the presence before Christmas for all the students of Anzio, in the province of Rome: the mayor Candido De Angelis has signed an ordinance ordering the dad from December 18 to 22 for the schools of every order and degree "with the aim of leaving again safely on Monday 10 January". It is, he adds, "a precautionary measure to allow" students and professors "to spend the Christmas holidays more peacefully with the family". According to the school councilor Laura Nolfi, it is the "best possible decision" to "avoid the increase in quarantines, with possible repercussions close to Christmas".
"Almost half the classes in quarantine are already recorded in all schools in Anzio today. We met with school leaders and I thought it was the necessary measure as a precaution", explained the mayor DeAngelis.
"The infections, which up to the day before yesterday were 520 are generally increasing" he adds.
