(ANSA) - LOCRI, 17 DEC - The former mayor of Riace Mimmo "Lucano has exploited the reception system for the benefit of his political image". Lucano, "after having carried out the commendable inclusive project of migrants, which resulted in the Riace Model, envied and taken as an example by the whole world, having reported that the amounts donated by the State were more than sufficient, he had thought of reinvesting a large part privately of those resources, with projects for the revaluation of the territory, which, in addition to constituting a springboard for its political visibility, have resulted in the realization of multiple investments ), which constituted a sure form of his personal enrichment, on which he knew he could count at the end of his career, to guarantee himself an economic tranquility that he believed he was entitled to,feeling tired by now for what has already been achieved in that specific sector ".
For the Tribunal "it matters nothing that the former mayor was found without a euro in his pocket - as he proudly boasted to support on several occasions - because if he stopped to evaluate this condition of mere appearance, he would risk rewarding his cunning, disguised as false innocence, while ignoring the existence of a highly conductive evidence, which has given the College a very different image from the one he tried to credit ".
