A representative survey has shown that women are more cautious than men when it comes to salary negotiations on the job.

The question of more salary * is often anything but pleasant in working life.

This could lead to rejection from the boss, one of the possible fears.

According to a survey by the market research institute YouGov of 2,000 respondents, men are more likely than women to dare to ask their employer about a raise.

According to this, every third woman (33 percent) has asked for a

salary increase

in the course of her career , while for men it is almost every second (45 percent), as the German Press Agency (dpa) reported on the occasion of the survey.

According to the dpa, almost a quarter each named these barriers (23 percent each).
