Stollen, gingerbread and Spekulatius - there are all kinds of goodies in the supermarkets at Christmas.

An Aldi customer is now frustrated.

Munich - The shelves with the Christmas stollen at the food discounter Aldi have been swept empty.

An Aldi customer complains about this and turns to our editorial team.

Outraged, he writes: "I tapped three branches - the Stollen was sold out everywhere!" The typical Christmas biscuits made from yeast dough with raisins or other dried fruit as a filling and sprinkled with fine powdered sugar are also incredibly tasty and popular at this time of the year.

The frustrated Stollen lover asks himself: “Should we buy the Stollen in the summer in the future?” We asked Aldi.

Aldi: No delivery bottlenecks for tunnels

“I'll plaster one of the stollen, and send the rest to the relatives' children,” says the Aldi customer, describing his annual ritual.

He usually buys five to six studs.

That was also the plan for this year when he stood in front of empty Stollen shelves in the Aldi branches at the end of November.

What is the reason the studs were sold out?

An Aldi spokeswoman says: There are “currently no delivery problems” with the various types of studs from the Aldi range.

So if there are no problems on the part of the discounter, the stollen seem to be particularly popular this year and therefore sell out quickly.

Aldi: Customer buys mini version of the studs

According to the discounter, Aldi has Dresdner Christmas stollen, marzipan stollen and mini stollen in butter and marzipan versions in its range.

In the end, the Stollen lover also opted for this mini version: He secured twelve packs at the same time.

And the mini stollen certainly taste at least as good as the large originals.

The food discounter also caused annoyance among its customers with another typical Christmas product.

A father complained on Facebook.
