The Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, stressed the importance of Law No. 38 of 2021 issued by President Bashar al-Assad today regarding vocational secondary education in terms of organizing its course and linking education with production in a way that supports the productive process and achieves sustainable development.
Minister Tabbaa explained in a statement to the SANA delegate that the new law links vocational education with production by teaching the student a profession or craft that he can work in, master it and sell its products, indicating that the school will also be authorized to sell and sign contracts.
According to Minister Tabbaa, a large part of these contracts benefit the teacher and students according to their efforts, and that their monthly salaries will be according to their production.
He pointed out that the new law allows students to enter the labor market in addition to the possibility of pursuing their higher education in accordance with the approved admission terms and criteria, which improves students' desire to go to this type of education and secures the workforce, which is reflected overall positively on production in various fields.
