The Berlin-Tiergarten district court issued a penalty order against actor Kida Khodr Ramadan, known from the series "4 Blocks", on Monday for multiple driving without a license.
The judge sentenced Ramadan to 10 months in prison, suspended for two years.
This was announced by a court spokesman when asked by SPIEGEL.
In addition, the actor should pay 20,000 euros to two charitable organizations.
The decision is not final.
The 45-year-old can appeal the decision within two weeks of receiving the penalty order.
If Ramadan does not accept the penalty order, a date for the main hearing will be set.
According to the court spokesman, a main hearing was originally planned for this Monday.
But Ramadan is said to have apologized for illness, according to the spokesman.
At the request of the public prosecutor's office, the judge issued a penalty order.
In penal order proceedings, decisions are made on the basis of the files, without a main hearing and without publicity.
