(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 04 - Registrations for the sixth edition of 18App will open on March 17, 2022, the tool promoted by the ministry led by Dario Franceschini who, since 2016, has been promoting culture among girls and boys by making a bonus available to new eighteen-year-olds from 500 euros to spend on cultural products.
The regulation of the terms and conditions of use of the culture bonus for those born in 2003 was published in the Official Gazette.
Young people residing in the national territory who have completed 18 years in 2021 will therefore be able to register from 17 March on the website www.18app.italia.it through Spid (the digital identity to be requested from the day of the eighteenth birthday) or the electronic identity card (Cie) up to to August 31, 2022, while the deadline for spending the bonus is February 28, 2023. With 18app it is possible to buy tickets for theatrical, cinema, concerts, cultural events, museums, monuments and archaeological parks;
music;
books (including audio books and e-books);
daily and periodic subscriptions, also in digital format;
courses in theater, music, dance and foreign languages.
Since the first edition of 2016, over 2 million children have benefited from the Culture Bonus, spending a total of more than one billion euros.
In the various divisions, the 18-year-olds mainly bought books and music, followed by tickets for cinemas and theaters.
The success of this tool has made it a model for other European countries such as France and Spain which have approved similar initiatives.
Finally, please note that www.18app.italia.it is the only channel in which it is possible to register and that the BonusCultura is strictly personal and cannot be exchanged or converted into money.
The Ministry of Culture monitors the correct use of 18app in collaboration with the Guardiadi Finanza.
