In Moulins, the
Triptych of the Glorious Virgin
, one of the last paintings of the first Renaissance still in a place of worship in France (the former collegiate church which became Notre-Dame cathedral in 1823 in this case), has only very rarely left its converted chapel.
He did not even come to Paris at the end of 2010 for the monumental exhibition at the Grand Palais on art and power in 1500. This time, he will definitely reach the capital and its main museum.
A restoration campaign awaits it in the basement of the Pavillon de Flore, in the armored premises of the Center for Research and Restoration of the Museums of France (C2RMF).
