Army: in Modena oath of officers 203 / o Corso

The Cadet Officers of the 203 / o 'Loyalty' Course of the Army took a solemn oath of loyalty to the Italian Republic this morning in the Cortile d'Onore of the Palazzo Ducale in Modena, seat of the Military Academy. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - MODENA, 25 MAR - The Cadet Officers of the 203 / o 'Loyalty' Course of the Army took a solemn oath of loyalty to the Italian Republic this morning in the Cortiled'Onore of the Ducal Palace of Modena, seat of the Military Academy.


    Present were the Chief of Defense Staff, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, of the Army Chief of State, General of the Army Corps Pietro Serino and of the course godfather, General of the Army Corps Rosario Aiosa, Gold Medal to the Military Valor together with other civil and religious authorities from Modena, including the Mayor, Gian CarloMuzzarelli, the Vicar of the Prefect, Pinuccia Niglio, and the President of the Province, Gian Domenico Tomei.


    The solemn act, which took place before the flag of the Institute exuggled with the reading of the traditional formula of the oath, pronounced by the Commander of the Military Academy, Division General Davide Scalabrin, sanctions the full entry of the Cadet Officers into the ranks of the Italian Army and of the Carabinieri, to serve Italy and its institutions.


    The Military Academy of Modena, established on 1 January 1678 with the name of the Royal Academy, is today the university-based military training institute responsible for the initial training of future officers on the normal role of the Italian Army and the Carabinieri, in a of studies that will lead to the achievement of the degree in Strategic Sciences, Engineering, Medicine and Surgery, Veterinary, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies and Law.
