Nineteen out of 32 national teams have already qualified for the next soccer World Cup in Qatar (21 November-18 December 2022) after the passes won by Ecuador and Uruguay: in addition to the host country that qualified automatically, there are ten European national teams, four South American and four from the Asian zone.
A goal by De Arrascaeta against Uruguay was enough to beat Peru 1-0, the main pursuer for third and fourth place in the South American group.
A result that allowed Ecuador to qualify despite the 3-1 defeat in Paraguay.

At 19, however, there is Chile, stopped after the 4-0 suffered in Brazil.

- Asia zone: Qatar (host country), Iran, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia;
