(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 28 - King Abdallah of Jordan arrived today by helicopter in Ramallah accompanied by Crown Prince Hussein.
The official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that the president of the Palestinian National Authority Abu Mazen was waiting for him.
"This visit - added Wafa - is part of the policy of constant coordination and consultations between Abu Mazen and King Abdallah, with the aim of addressing the issues common to the two countries".
According to the Israeli media, they will discuss, among other things, the situation in the Holy Places in Jerusalem, as the Islamic fast of Ramadan approaches, and the fear that the celebrations could be disturbed by violence.
Yesterday there were new episodes of violence in the West Bank.
In particular acts of vandalism - attributed by the media to settlers in the area, as a reaction to the attack that took place yesterday in Hadera - were reported in the villages of Jallud and TurmusAya, near Nablus.
