Shortly before Easter, the food company Ferrero is recalling surprise eggs.

There are probably several salmonella diseases in children who are suspected of using the product.

Because of more than 60 cases of salmonella diseases in Great Britain, the food company Ferrero recalled some batches of children's surprise eggs almost two weeks before Easter.

The food safety agency said the recall had "a possible link to a salmonella outbreak."

Ferrero recall in Europe: Among other things, surprise eggs are affected

The surprise eggs love big and small fans.

Of the approximately 63 people who have contracted salmonella in Britain, most are young children, the PA news agency reports on Monday.

Infections are also said to have occurred in other EU countries.

However, there are currently only official recalls in Great Britain, France and Belgium.

In addition, sometimes not only surprise eggs are affected.
