(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 17 - The Ukrainian Defense Council has defined Moscow's announcement of the capture of Mariupol as a 'false'.
"The Russian Defense Ministry is spreading false news, claiming that its army has cleared Mariupol of fighters from the Azov regiment," reports the Ukrainian anti-disinformation center on Telegram.
"Ukrainian forces continue to defend Mariupol but the Russian Defense Ministry has already reported that the entire city of Mariupol has been completely cleared of Azov militants, foreign mercenaries and the military. We warn you: this is fake news!"
