The Sasa Stone Organization, a partner in advancing the field of education for hospitalized children, invites writers and illustrators of children's books to take part in the Sasa Stone Prize for Children's Literature, which is returning for the second year.
This is the second year that the Sasa Stone organization will present the "Sasa Stone Prize for Children's Literature" to leading writers and illustrators in Israel.
The aims of the award are to support national literature, and to promote Israeli art in children's literature.
The prize will be awarded to the author and illustrator who have had a positive impact on Israeli culture.
The author and illustrator of the book, who won the Sasa Stone Prize for Children's Literature, will each receive NIS 35,000.
In addition, a Lifetime Achievement Award of NIS 25,000 will be awarded to a children's author whose work has greatly influenced Israeli culture.
Sasa Stone Prize for Children's Literature named after the late Philip and the Girl Stone, honorary presidents and founders of SASA Setton, a partner in advancing the field of education for children, has been hospitalized in 41 hospitals across the country for a decade. "All the books that will compete for the prize will be distributed at the end of the competition to the schools in hospitals around the country for the hospitalized children, and also writers will hold meetings in the pediatric wards.
