On Wednesday evening, the World Health Organization (WHO) and Unicef warned of the explosion of measles cases worldwide, up 79% in January and February compared to the same period in 2021. The risk of an outbreak has increased as communities have relaxed the implementation of physical distancing rules and other Covid-19 prevention measures imposed at the height of the pandemic.
