Lee Ufan Arles is a very simple plaque which marks at 5, rue Vernon, a few meters from the Place du Forum, the anchorage of the great Korean artist, 86 years old in June, in the city of Van Gogh and the 'Glorious Antiquity.
Since April 15, his foundation has changed the landscape of Arles, which the Luma Foundation of Maja Hoffmann and Frank Gehry upset with its contemporary wind last summer.
This new foundation operates discreetly, almost by default, like an invitation to a detour in thought and to the soothing silence of a quiet street, in the shade of summer.
He, whose purpose was to "Living in time" at the Center Pompidou-Metz in 2019, has invested, since the fall, the Arles necropolis of Alyscamps with his exhibition "Requiem".
