Numerous tourists and day visitors arrived on Sylt by train on Whit Saturday, including 50 to 80 punks.
They have made themselves comfortable on the promenades and in front of supermarkets.
A photographer from the German Press Agency reported on Saturday afternoon that the trains were packed, and the car trains were also fully booked.
Many train passengers arrived in a party mood.
Thanks to the 9-euro ticket, you can currently travel very cheaply throughout Germany.
Sylt's Mayor Nikolas Häckel (independent) said on Saturday afternoon that the island was only full in certain areas, the situation was relaxed.
The police are on patrol in the relevant areas.
A police spokesman had previously emphasized that the situation on Sylt was calm.
There were no major operations during the night either.
A group of 50 to 80 punks who had been on the island for a few days had "been a little loud," but that wasn't anything special either.
In the past few days, there has been a lot of talk about Sylt on social media in the debate about the 9-euro ticket.
Calls from left-wing groups online to “board” the island quickly made the rounds.
