"Still on the subject of Ukraine - he added - Italian support has been renewed for Kiev's accession path to the European Union. At the same time - he then stressed - it is necessary and urgent to give answers to the Western Balkan countries that have been waiting for too many years. Negotiations must be started in Albania and North Macedonia. Delaying - he pointed out - would mean damaging those communities and Europe itself ".
With Germany, he finally recalled, "already in recent months, after the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, we promoted a joint initiative by organizing, on an Italian proposal, the extraordinary meeting of the G7 of the lower houses which is under the German presidency and the meeting was also attended by the president of the Ukrainian Parliament ", he concluded.
