Following this, the Ashkelon District Physician ordered the cessation of the activities of the "Emek HaEla" residence in Ashkelon until further notice.
This is after the director of the daycare center reported an abnormal outbreak of diarrhea and vomiting, among 35 children.
In the daycare complex on Emek HaEla Street, Agamim neighborhood in Ashkelon, there are six classrooms, including 145 children, the oldest of whom are four years old.
Following an epidemiological investigation, the district physician sent a signed letter stating that the children should be referred to a attending physician for fecal examinations, coronary examination and medical treatment.
At the same time, thorough cleaning and disinfection should be carried out without delay throughout the home, including classrooms, kitchen, rooms, toilets, annex rooms, staff kitchenette, elevator and yard.
Curtains and various textile products, such as fur dolls, will be sent for washing and will not be returned to the residence until the end of the illness and the garden returns to activity.
Tomorrow, Thursday, a sanitary inspection will be carried out at the residence and further instructions will be given.
The home will reopen when the cleaning and disinfection operations are completed, in case there are no further cases of illness, and only after receiving approval from the Ministry of Health.
