This man would have suffered a work accident involving a forklift in a parking lot of the institution, on Saturday July 9.
The employee, whose family lives in Mali, worked for a cleaning contractor.
"Pending the reasons for this accident, machines of this nature have been banned on all the ramps that make up the car parks of the National Assembly", detailed Eric Woerth (LR), quaestor of the Assembly.
An ongoing judicial investigation
A judicial inquiry is underway to determine the causes of the accident, after the seizure of the social and economic committee (CSE) and the office of the National Assembly.
The Minister of Public Accounts, Gabriel Attal, also went there in his reaction after this tragedy by affirming "his solidarity and that of the government" to the family and colleagues of the victim.
According to the latest figures recorded, 733 people lost their lives at work in 2019.
