“swimming, go-karting… And of course the piano!”
Strange declaration, from the one who flew over, less than a year ago, the 18th edition of the Chopin Competition in Warsaw.
The Holy Grail for any budding pianist (the competition only takes place every five years).
At the same time as the most prestigious of launch pads.
At the age of 25, the young keyboardist assumes, however, thoroughly:
“It is not because I won the Chopin Competition that I want to lock myself into a career logic.
What I want is to continue to see the instrument as a hobby, a passion.
And not as a profession.
The risk, according to him?
“Locking yourself up in a form of system, a routine.
We live in a very fast-paced world, and it's easy to give in to the temptation of efficiency by replicating what works.
Me, I want to continue to search, to experiment with new things in interpretation…
