He is one of the co-inventors of the WDR knowledge magazine for children: Ralph Caspers has moderated »Wissen macht Ah!« since 2001.
A successor is now to take over for the new season: from September, Tarkan Bagci will be seen on the show together with co-moderator Clarissa Corrêa da Silva.
WDR announced this in a press release.
The author and comedian has been in front of the camera for the show since the end of June.
The first of seven new episodes will be broadcast in September 2022 on KiKA and the ARD media library, among others.
According to WDR, another new season is also planned for the current year.
When asked by SPIEGEL, the broadcaster confirmed the change in the moderator team.
For the viewers of the knowledge magazine, Jaspers will remain "present both linearly and online": "'Wissen mach Ah' was designed from the start as a repertoire-capable program in which old and new episodes are always mixed," according to a press spokeswoman.
Caspers was already in front of the camera for »The Show with the Mouse« in the late 1990s.
Together with Mai Thi Nguyen-Kim he presents the WDR television series »Quarks«.
He will continue to be in action for both programs.
The WDR also announced that next year Caspers will present the concert »Jazz macht Ah!« together with da Silva with the WDR Big Band.
Bagci was already a comedy author for "Neo Magazin Royale" and the ARD comedy format "Kroyman", is also in front of the camera in the new ZDF documentary series "Grauzone".
In his podcast, he and Christian Huber talk about »felt facts«.
