Women are not allowed to drive, they are the property of the man and belong in the house – the former British-American kickboxer Andrew Tate has been attracting attention on social media platforms for weeks with such statements.

Now his profiles on Instagram and Facebook have been blocked.

Tate, also known from the reality show "Big Brother", recently had 4.7 million Instagram followers.

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, told the BBC that Tate's content violated the terms of use and was therefore blocked.

The group gave no further details.

A TikTok spokesperson told the BBC: "We have been removing offending videos and accounts for weeks and we welcome the news that other platforms are also taking action against this individual." a man's property and rape victims are themselves to blame for their abuse, reports the Guardian.

The Hustler's University he founded - online courses aimed at young men that helped Tate break into social media - was also discontinued.

The platform, which promises young men to earn thousands of pounds, had halted its affiliate marketing program saying it had "no future," according to the UK media.

The program allowed Tate's followers to earn commissions for recruiting new members and encouraged them to post videos of him to get as many referrals as possible.

This led to thousands of videos of the former kickboxer and reality star being shared on social media, helping Tate to go viral.

Unlike Instagram, for example, Tate does not have his own TikTok account.

His videos are only shared by his fans.

A TikTok spokesperson told the BBC: "Misogyny is a hateful ideology that will not be tolerated on TikTok."

According to British media reports, the 35-year-old is currently in Romania.

Accordingly, there are investigations into human trafficking and rape against the British-American dual citizen.
