The Ministry of Higher Education discusses with university hospital administrators ways to develop the reality of its health system

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, discussed with the directors of university hospitals today the reality of the health system in hospitals and the proposed procedures for developing its mechanism of action and medical services provided to citizens.

During the meeting, many issues were discussed, the most important of which was linking the citizen with the hospital by activating the citizen’s complaint service by contacting the Office of the Assistant Minister for Hospital Affairs or sending text messages to specific numbers and addressing them with hospital managers and activating the boards of directors in hospitals by setting a general strategy and a future vision for developing performance Work and equipment, in addition to contracting with specialized doctors, stressing the issue of hygiene and sterilization, and activating the role of supervision committees.

Minister Ibrahim stressed the importance of the government's support for the health sector in general, stressing the need to provide all medical services, simplify procedures for auditors, direct supervision by hospital directors of all working medical and administrative staff, and take legal action against negligent patients.

Minister Ibrahim noted the developments in university hospitals in their infrastructure, pointing out the need to exert more efforts to raise the level of services provided in them according to the available capabilities.

President of the National Union of Syrian Students, Dareen Suleiman, noted what higher education hospitals are doing, pointing to the need to describe the work of hospitals, as they carry out service and educational work, support them with the necessary emergency materials and work to overcome the difficulties of obtaining medicines and the needs of hospitals, and the importance of cooperation and solidarity between educational hospitals in order to increase the services provided Citizens and the conduct of their transactions as required.

The hospital directors presented a number of suggestions to overcome the work difficulties they encounter and find solutions and address them in a way that serves the citizens and the educational system in general.
