The summer is starting to show signs of its end, the students are going back to school - and lo and behold, even in the month of September 2022, several very intriguing series are coming up.

The selection is so large, that it is difficult to choose what to watch and what to give up, so we have prepared for you recommendations for some popular series that will make our next month.

September 2

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (Amazon Prime Video)

No less than 250 million dollars was paid by Amazon in exchange for the purchase of the production rights of the series, which is based on the books of G.

R.

R.

Tolkien - and that's without talking about the astronomical cost of the first season, which is estimated at hundreds of millions of dollars.

This fantasy series takes place thousands of years before the plot we all knew in the "Lord of the Rings" movie trilogy, which brought in billions of dollars and won several Oscars.

With a commitment to produce at least five seasons and with the possibility of creating spin-off series, it seems that Amazon intends to justify the impressive title of the series as the most expensive in history.

Devil in Ohio (Netflix)

A new thriller mini-series based on the book of the same name by Daria Poltin.

Emily Deschanel (known from "Bones") plays a psychiatrist who was taken into her home by a young woman named May (Madeline Arthur), who escaped a mysterious plague.

At some point things start to go wrong due to the presence of the girl, and Susan's life is in danger.

September 8

Mike (Disney+)

Mike Tyson is one of the most prominent figures in the world of sports in recent years, not least due to his personal life, which includes quite a few ups, downs and many storms.

Through Tyson's story, this mini-series examines issues such as class and race in the United States, without ignoring issues such as the power of the media, misogyny and the American Dream.

Of course, with all this in the background of the many dramas that accompanied Tyson's life - and without forgetting the ear biting incident in question.

September 9

Favors for battle - season 6 (yes)

The acclaimed legal drama, which is a spin-off series to "The Good Wife", is entering its final season, which is expected to continue dealing with social and topical issues - just as it has done so far.

This time too, Diane's character (played by the always wonderful Christine Baransky) is expected to have her hand on the pulse of American society, and find her way to express her opinion on a variety of issues.

In this season, Diane meets an unconventional therapist (John Slattery, "Mad Men") - and develops a particularly complicated relationship with him.

If that's not enough, she has to get a new partner in the office, who will be played by Andre Brauer, who is Captain Raymond Holt from "Brooklyn Nine-Nine".

And the record?

Political publicist Eli Gold (Alan Cumming) and attorney Elizabeth Tsioni (Carrie Preston) from the series Mother will also participate in the final season.

Cobra Kai – Season 5 (Netflix)

The world of television was positively stunned last year when the fourth season of the series, which takes place 30 years after the plot of the "Karate Kid" films, received a very surprising nomination in the category of the best comedy series at the Emmy Awards.

Now, with the new season of the series, she must meet the new bar she set for herself.

The new season will focus on Terry Silver's desire to expand his empire.

With John Criss behind bars and Johnny Lawrence abandoning karate, Daniel LaRusso is forced to call an old friend for help.

September 15

traitor (HOT)

A new Israeli series created by Amit Cohen and Ron Leshem, which follows the story of the disappearance of an Israeli passenger plane that made its way from Tel Aviv to India - with 225 passengers on board.

In the series you will find bright names such as Lior Ashkenazi, Orna Banai, Oz Zahavi and Niv Sultan.

Following the disappearance, the family members of the missing decide to pry into the lives of their loved ones, which leads to them discovering secrets they didn't know about - something that also affects many other citizens, who are not at all related to the case.

A senior field officer in the Shin Bet, whose wife and children were on the plane, is trying to understand whether the answer to the plane's fate lies with the passengers at all.

The Handmaid's Tale – Season 5 (HOT)

Let's face it, it's getting very hard to watch this dystopian series.

However, it's hard to say that she became boring - but after being a bit exhausting, the fourth season proved that with the right direction, she can come back to herself.

In the new season, John (Elisabeth Moss) has to deal with the consequences of killing Commander Waterford, and has trouble redefining her identity and purpose, Serena tries to strengthen her influence in Canada and the Republic of Gilead is slowly infiltrating the country.

September 21

Andor (Disney+)

As Disney has done with series from the "Marvel" cinematic universe, so it is doing with series from the universe of "Star Wars" films - and now it is the turn of Cassian Andor, an intelligence officer of the Rebel Alliance who appeared in one of the main roles in "Rogue One", which was a film that won Not a bad critical and commercial success, but not one that made the character one of the most talked about in the universe of the series.

After "The Mandalorian", "The Book of Boba Fett" and "Obi Wan Kenobi", Disney will hope that "Endor" will also have a similar success.

Her desire to do so probably explains the fact that "One Rogue" screenwriter, Tony Gilroy ("Michael Clayton"), is also the one who created the series - after all, who knows the character better than the one who created it?

Diego Luna will return to the character of Endor in this series as well, alongside Oscar winner Forest Whitaker, who played the rebel Sue Guerrera in the original film) and Stellan Skarsgård.

And don't worry, you should watch it: the series was pre-ordered for at least two seasons, so there is something to look forward to.

September 24

The Goldbergs - Season 10

The beloved sitcom returns in a new season, for the first time without the character of the family's patriarch Murray - whom the creators decided to "kill" following the dismissal of the actor who played him, Jeff Garlin, who was accused of inappropriate behavior.

This time, the Goldberg family will have to deal with the big hole that has opened in them - all this when Erica is supposed to give birth to her first child.

Of course, the rest of the family, led by overprotective (but oh so funny) mother Barry, will get into crazy trouble of their own throughout the season.
