(ANSA) - BERLIN, 04 SEP - The German government today agreed on a new plan to help the purchasing power of citizens and businesses in a context of high inflation, with measures for a total of 65 billion euros, according to a draft agreement examined by the AFP.
"Quick and proportionate help to citizens and businesses is needed due to the rapid rise in high energy prices," reads the document, drawn up after weeks of painstaking discussions between the three parties in the coalition of Social Democratic Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
