Since Monday, investigators in Canada have been looking for the two men who killed ten people and injured 19 others in various knife attacks.

But there was no trace of the duo – until now.

According to the authorities, a body was discovered.

According to initial information, it is one of the brothers who are said to be responsible for the bloody deeds.

The body had obvious external injuries, it said.

However, the second suspect is still on the run.

It is believed that he may also have sustained injuries, according to the police.

He could be in the city of Regina.

The victims were attacked in two locations in Saskatchewan - on the James Smith Cree Nation reservation designated for indigenous people and in the village of Weldon, police said yesterday.

The first emergency call was received at 5:40 a.m. in the morning, and further attacks from nearby crime scenes were reported in the minutes that followed.

The reserve's elected leaders declared a state of emergency.

The police were initially unable to provide any information on a motive.

"It appears that some of the victims were targeted and some were chosen at random," said Deputy Police Commissioner Rhonda Blackmore.

"It would therefore be extremely difficult to name a motive at this point."

Police are looking for the two male suspects in the province and in the neighboring provinces of Manitoba and Alberta, it said.

The area of these three provinces in central Canada is more than five times the area of Germany.
