Taylor Hawkins' son performs with the Foo Fighters, in tribute to his father

The American group organized Saturday, September 3 an evening in tribute to Taylor Hawkins, drummer of the group, who died in March.

On stage at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday, September 3, there was no doubt that the hero of this 1997 Foo Fighters song was Taylor Hawkins, the band's drummer who died in March.

Behind the drums, alongside Dave Grohl and the band's musicians, Shane Hawkins came to pay homage to his father for an exceptional performance.

After seeing a succession of legendary drummers throughout the tribute evening broadcast on MTV (Travis Barker from Blink-182, Josh Freese from Guns'n Roses, Rufus Taylor...), the public had the pleasure of see the 16-year-old boy arrive on stage, at the invitation of the group's leader and singer, Dave Grohl.

The magnificent performance, which went viral on social networks, thus came to close an emotional tribute evening, during which many artists came to pay their respects.

Among them, Paul McCartney, Roger Taylor and Brian May of Queen, the singer of AC/DC Brian Johnson, Liam Gallagher, but also Violet, the daughter of Dave Grohl who performed two songs by Jeff Buckley.

This concert also marked the return of the Foo Fighters to the stage since the tragedy that occurred in March.

Recognizable by his energy on stage, figure and pillar of the group, of which he had been a part since 1997, Taylor Hawkins died suddenly at the age of 50 on the night of March 25 to 26 in a hotel in Bogota, before a concert in the Colombian capital.
