As every year for the past nine years, the Restos du Coeur publish on November 3, in partnership with Éditions Pocket, a collection of unpublished short stories, all of the proceeds from which are donated to the association created in 1985 by Coluche.

Entitled

13 at the table!

and prefaced by astronaut Thomas Pesquet, the theme of the 2023 edition is "

the planet and me

" (memories of vacations in 2022, travel in 2022, etc.).

We find Esther on the cover, the iconic character of comic book author and director Riad Sattouf

(The Arab of the future)

who flies away with a book in space.

Like every year, prestigious authors have written an original short story: Françoise Bourdin, Marina Carrère d'Encausse, Raphaëlle Giordano, Cyril Lignac, Agnès Martin-Lugand, François D'Epenoux, Romain Puértolas, Mohamed Mbougar Sarr...

An entirely voluntary project, all the teams mobilized aim to finance no less than 1 million meals this year thanks to the sale of 250,000 copies.

Each book is marketed at the price of 5 euros.

The edition of the first eight volumes of

13 à table!

has already made it possible to finance nearly 6.8 million meals by Restos du cœur, which will launch its 38th winter food distribution campaign on November 22.

During the previous edition, the charity organization with 70,000 volunteers distributed nearly 145 million meals and welcomed more than 1.2 million people in one of its 2,000 centers spread over the territory.
