Rain, snow and strong winds throughout Italy, from Campania to Veneto

.

The first weekend of

November

is marked by bad weather and low temperatures, in line with the seasonal averages, which will drop by 10 ° C compared to the maximum also in the Center-South, according to the forecasts of

iLMeteo.it.

Meanwhile, discomforts are reported in various regions

due to heavy rainfall.

In

Campania

hundreds of motorists were trapped for hours on

the Avellino-Salerno motorway junction,

due to a

water bomb

that hit the area.

The queue, towards Salerno, is at least

10 kilometers long

, starting from

Solofra (Avellino)

.

The lucky ones managed to exit at the

Lancusi

junction and leave the motorway.

In

Mercato San Severino (Salerno)

the

Solofrana and Calvagnola

streams came out of the banks, flooding the streets of the

Sant'Angelo

hamlet .

Many cars

stuck in the flooded underpasses,

with several interventions by the fire brigade.

The water level is also worrying in the municipalities of

the Irno Valley and Agro Nocerino Sarnese

.

In

Montella

, in the province of Avellino, due to heavy rains,

a river of mud and debris

has invaded the center of the town.

Rain and gusty winds also on the Campania islands.

The stormy night isolated

Capri,

blocking the departure of hydrofoils, jets and catamarans for

Naples, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast

.

Improvements are expected in the afternoon, but until 8:00 on Saturday 5 November a

yellow weather alert from the Regional Civil Protection is in force throughout Campania.

Bad weather does not spare the North as well.

In the

Bergamo area (Lombardy)

 the snow returned at around

1,400-1,500 meters

last night.

This morning on

the Orobie Alps

the flakes have whitened the village of

Foppolo and the nearby ski slopes of the upper Brembana Valley

, and the village of

Vilminore, in the Scalve valley

.

In recent days the snow had fallen only at an altitude of 2,500 meters.

Snow falls also in

Valtellina and Valchiavenna

, with a drop in temperatures across the entire Province of Sondrio.

The San Marco Pass , the main crossing between

Bergamo and Sondrio ,

was closed this morning

.

Snow has also reappeared in

the Venetian Dolomites

, with a drop in temperatures down to

-6 degrees on the Marmolada

.

In Ra Valles, on the Tofane, above

Cortina d'Ampezzo

, they measure almost

40 centimeters

, about 10 centimeters on the slopes of Monte Faloria, on the other side of the valley, where the ski slopes could be open in a couple of weeks.

The 'shoulder' of the Atlantic flow to the North African anticyclone saw the passage of the first cold perturbation over the region, with abundant rainfall in the plains and a drop of 7-8 degrees compared to yesterday.

Venice has come to terms with the first bad weather of autumn

, with a small storm, and high water outside the lagoon.

However, the city remained dry, thanks to the lifting of the Mose gates.

Heavy rainfall in

Friuli Venezia Giulia

, on the eastern plain and the Julian Prealps.

According to the data released by the Civil Protection Fvg, the accumulations of rain during the night reached

60 millimeters

and the sirocco winds reached, in some places,

70 kilometers per hour

.

Several underpasses have been closed.

On the coast, however, weak storm surges were reported

.

In

Liguria

, after the

floods in Genoa

on Thursday afternoon, the heavy rains last night caused a landslide on the

Sp49 in the Municipality of Sassello, in the Savona area

.

In Tuscany, on the other hand, several storms have affected the

Lucchese and Versilia

, with flooding of some small streams.

The Civil Protection alert remains for Friday 4 November also for

Lazio and Molise

.
